Most of the students' English progresses well, they understand some grammar rules, their reading is fine, they can speak a lil bit after thinking , but: Listening is STILL a problem for all of them!
Don't get dishearted if you are one of them. Remember that you are not alone. Listening is the most difficult task for almost all learners of English as a second language. So, now you know you are not alone....! OK. The most important thing is to listen, listen to understandable English. If you listen to a conversation in English, you have to make sure that you understand 95% of that conversation. If you chose something like BBC news, then you will never be able to learn English or improve your listening skill. You have to listen very easy and understandable conversations. BBC and CNN is not your level. The next step is to find listening lessons. ELP's lessons are designed to help an English learner to improve his all four language skills. First priority is given to listening because it's the 1st language skills and the most important. (Jump to Listening English)

Speaking is an interactive process of constructing meaning that involves producing and receiving and processing information. Speaking skill is a part or Listening skill, If you're a good English listener then probably you can/will become a good English speaker. As ELP methods teach that good speaking comes from good listening. So first you have to become a good listener. When you hear a proper sentence in English many time, then you can make hundreds of phrases from that sentence and could speak fluently. Speaking can't be taught separately. It is always connected with listening. After listening to English, you may need a person with whom you could speak and practice your speaking. Find a person who can have conversations with you on daily basis. Or find some listen-answer stories, in which you listen a short story and then the story teller asks you some questions about it and you answer those questions in English. Listen-answer stories are the best way to become a good speaker. You also can get Listen-answer stories in ELP's lessons. (Jump to Speaking English)

In this modern age of information, reading is really a fundamental survival skill. It's true that " Today a reader, tomorrow a leader" Reading is the 3rd language skill. To improve Reading skill, you do not have to be a good reader to understand the point. Some people read fast and remember everything. Others read very slow and take a lot of time to understand. It doesn't matter, really, so long as when you read, you get the information you're looking for. Read almost everything in English which your eye sees. But try to get some interesting stories to read. But it should be easy, not with to many words which you never heard before. If you read something hard, you may find meaning of words again and again in dictionary. Which will make you feel frustrated and you will stop reading. (Jump to English Reading)

Writing skill is attached to Reading skill, as Speaking with Listening. When learning how to improve English writing skills, it is helpful to have some help. Some help. Of course, the next question has to be... How? Well, try to read what you want to write. It means that if you want to start writing your personal diary, then read someone's diary first. Reading is an input, then output will be writing. There are many tips on how to improve your Writing skills like most of the authors say that Do not use a long word where a short one will do. Long words do not make you sound intelligent unless used skillfully. In the wrong situation they will have the opposite effect, making you sound pretentious and arrogant. They are also less likely to be understood and more awkward to read. Your Writing can be easily improved by good reading. Read, read and read. Then try to write.(Jump to Written English)
